Summary
Sentrx Animal Care, Inc., located in Salt Lake City, Utah, has recently been acquired by Domes Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical company located in France. Sentrx and Domes Pharma manufacture products with primary focus on the animal health industry.
Sentrx is seeking a Senior Controller to manage all financial and accounting aspects of its growing US business in Salt Lake City. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to grow into the CFO role for North America as Domes Pharma expands its business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial aspects of the business
  • Report to the CEO with dotted-line reporting to corporate CFO in France
  • Oversee an outsourced staff, presently consisting of two people
  • Prepare, analyze and submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Report financials to corporate headquarters in France.
  • Manage the annual audit with outside auditors
  • Oversee the general ledger and accounting functions and systems (presently QuickBooks), including billing, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, accounts payable, payroll, and cost accounting
  • Establish and maintain standard costs for manufactured products. Conduct variance analysis.
  • Anticipate growth needs and oversee migration to advanced ERP system with scalable processes in cooperation with Group IT
  • Maintain a strong system of internal controls and accounting policies
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and produce the annual financial budget (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Prepare quarterly financial forecasts
  • Analyze and report on financial results versus budget and forecast
  • Manage cash flow and work with headquarters regarding funding needs for the business
  • Coordinate with tax advisors in the preparation and filing of federal, state and local tax returns
  • Support the CEO and senior management team with analysis, decision making, and special projects

Key Attributes of the Successful Candidate

  • Eight to ten years or more of combined experience in industry and public accounting
  • Bachelors or Masters of Accounting or MBA; CPA preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Industrial controlling
  • Ability to grow into the CFO role for North America as the business expands
  • Strong leadership skills and effective inter-personal and communication skills. Ability to cooperate in an international environment
  • Independent, resourceful, energetic and results-oriented
  • Be an agent of change and continuous improvement
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; fluency with Microsoft Office and other software packages
